John Lawrence, late of the parish of St Ann in the Island of Jamaica now of Noel Street, London, Esq. Will dated 26/06/1780. Weak in body. All my estate and plantations in Jamaica, negroes, cattle etc and all my estate real and personal to my mother Sarah Lawrence, William Bolt of Norton Street, London, Esquire and Robert Marshall of Jamaica, gentleman, on trust to pay debts and legacies.

To a free mulatto Mary Campbell £30 currency per annum, and to two quarteroon boys James Berwick (also known as James Berwick Lawrence) and John Lawrence, sons of said Mary Campbell, £100 currency per year and £500 currency each when out of apprenticeship.

£50 a year for the maintenance of each of the children of my sister Mary Senior, and £800 currency each at age 21. She will be maintained on my estate.

£250 a year for each of the children on my brothers William Lawrence and James Lawrence and my sister Sarah Hilton.

To my friend Mr William Gerard of Islington and Mrs Agnes Graeme now living with William Gerard £100 sterling each, and to my friends the said William Bolt and Robert Marshall, £200 sterling each.

To John Franks Taylor in whose house I live and to his wife Jane F., £50 sterling each.

All residue to my nephew Christopher Senior, son of my sister Mary Senior, he to take the additional name of Lawrence.

My trustees to be executors and guardians.

Codicil dated 07/07/1780. William Gerard £100 more and to be one of my executors. £100 a year to quarteroon boys to be sterling. Produce to be consigned to William Bolt.
