Biography

Attorney and manager for Thomas Sealy (q.v.) on two estates in St John, Barbados.

  1. The will of Thomas Francis of St John Barbados proved in London 25/10/1849 is almost certainly this man, given that one of his executors was John Sealy. Among other monetary legacies, he left 拢2000 currency to each of his sons Thomas Francis and Herny Francis, sons of Ann Will Padmore, and 拢2000 currency to his daughter Frances Ann Mapp, wife of James Browne Mapp and daughter of Orange [sic] Harris, to whom he left 拢750 currency. He left 拢2000 sterling to his sister Ann Williard of Sevenoaks and a further 拢1000 in trust for their sister Mrs Susannah Cole then residing at Brasted in Kent.
