Biography

  1. Will of John Campbell of St Thomas [in the Vale] County of Surrey Jamaica [made 12/05/1832] proved 03/08/1835. He left 拢1000 to his brother Colin Campbell of the Royal Navy and 拢500 each to Sarah and Alexander Wilson, the children of his friend John Wilson of Kingston Jamaica. He left his wife Anne an annuity of 拢100 p.a. Subject to those legacies he left every part and parcel of his property to his sons John Charles Campbell and Edward Colin Campbell. In a codicil he identified his estate as Belgar. Administration was granted in 1855, when he was described as a Lt-colonel in HM's Army.
