Trustee of Henry Shirley (q.v.); with his co-trustee Rev. George Porcher (q.v.), Rev. Charles W. Davy was awarded the compensation for Etingdon, Hyde Hall, and Cedar Spring & Glamorgan estates. The background to the trust has not yet been established.

Formerly a Captain in the 29th Regiment. Ordained priest July 12 1818. No cures given in Clergy List. of Heathfield Hants. Died 08/02/1855 aged 74, at Gt Malvern. Brother of General Sir William Davy.

  2. Charles William Davy married 06/03/1827 Sarah Maria, daughter of Samuel Stephens of Tregenna Castle. 聽

  3. In 1851 Charles William Davy, aged 69, clergyman without cure of souls, born Gloucestershire was living at Heathfield, South Stoneham Hampshire with wife P. [=S] M. Davy aged 49 and daughter and son both born Poole.
