Accepting or declining your offer

Accepting your offer: conditional and unconditional offer holders

In order to secure your place on the LLM programme for the next academic year, you must accept your offer via the .

Accepting an offer ensures that you receive importantÌýprogramme information before the start of your programme in September.

Declining your offer: conditional and unconditional offer holdersÌý

If you wish to decline your offer, you must do soÌý.

Meeting your conditionsÌý

If you have been made a conditional offer, we wish you well in meeting our entry requirements.

You will need to ensure that you have met the conditions set out for you and provide the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Central Admissions Office with relevant documentation prior to the start of the programme and in good time to ensure that other arrangements can be made where applicable, including visa applications and accommodation.

You should uploadÌýevidence that you have met the conditions of your offer to the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº application system, .

Once ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº has received the relevant documentation confirming that you have met the conditions set out for you, your offer will become unconditional.

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº will only permit students in possession of an unconditional offer to enrol on a programme of study.

English language requirements

If you are planning on taking the Pre-Sessional English Course at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº, you will need to apply as early as possible as these courses are very popular and fill up quickly.

International Offer holders

If you require aÌýStudent Visa to attend the LLM programme at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº, the Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) number will be issued to unconditional offer holders via the online application systemÌý.

The ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Central Admissions Office will contact unconditional offer holders who require a visa directly by email with details of the process during June at the earliest.

It is important to note that the UK Visas and Immigration office (UKVI) will not issue CAS numbers until three months prior to the start of your programme of study.

Enrolment and Induction

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Student Pre-enrolment and Enrolment

Around six weeks before the start of your LLM programme (once you have accepted and met the conditions of your offer) you will receive an email from ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Student and Registry Services inviting you to pre-enrol as a student at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº.

You will need to complete the online pre-enrolment procedure before you arrive, so please make sure that ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº has a valid personal email address to correspond with you. You can update your email address on Portico.

Once you have completed online pre-enrolment, Student and Registry services will provide you with information about how you should enrol as a student at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº.

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Laws Faculty and Programme Induction

During the first week of term, from Monday 23rdÌýSeptember to Friday 27thÌýSeptember 2024, the Faculty will arrangeÌýevents and talks to introduce you to ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Laws and the LLM programme.

A detailed schedule of the induction programme will be provided as part of theÌýLLM Induction Pack in advance of the start of term, which will confirm event timesÌýand speakers.Ìý

International Student Support Team

The International Student Support Team helpsÌýinternational students settle into life in the UK and make the most of their time at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº and in London.TheyÌýoffer a range of interactive seminars and events and giveÌýyou the opportunity to meet other new and current ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº students and ask questions.

Support for students with disabilities

Late Arrivals

If you think that you will not be able to enrol withÌý¹û¶³Ó°Ôº by the start of term, you must contact the Laws Graduate Office at llm-admissions@ucl.ac.uk as soon as possible to discuss your options. Please remember to quote your student number in the email.
