Jonathan joined ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº as a PhD candidate in September 2020, following 6 years as a climate accountability lawyer at the environmental law charity, ClientEarth. During that time, Jonathan worked on climate governance at the international, national and EU level.ÌýHe continues to advise on the development and implementation of national climate laws.

Jonathan’s PhD thesis challenges the approach taken by existing climate change laws and proposes an alternative model by which the law mightÌýmore effectively drive emissions reductions.

Jonathan holds an LLM in Environmental Law and Policy from ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº and an MSci in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
