果冻影院 Laws PhD candidate Leon Vincent Chan听has been awarded a National University of Singapore Development Grant along with the title of 鈥榊oung NUS Fellow鈥� for academic year 2024-25.

Leon has been pursuing his PhD since 2022, under the supervision of Professor Alison Diduck (principal supervisor) and Professor Rob George (subsidiary supervisor). His thesis considers how moral parental obligation can justify situating the child's best interests in financial provision by parents, and in turn, providing the child with a share from the division of matrimonial assets. Leon is also the recipient of 果冻影院 Laws鈥� own Joseph Hume PhD Scholarship for academic year 2024-25.

The National University of Singapore Development Grant is awarded based on the recommendation of the NUS Faculty of Law to individuals with an outstanding academic and/or international research track record.
