Daniel Silvertown (¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Laws LLB 2010-13) and co-founder Jeroen Sibia launched , described as the ‘UK’s first virtual barber’, in response to the rise in amateur haircuts due to hairdressers and barbers being forced to shut as a result of the Coronavirus restrictions.

During the 20-minute video appointment, a professional barber walks people through how to cut their own hair (or cut a friend’s hair) to a style of their preference. Each appointment costs £15, with a portion going directly to local barbers. The fee also includes a donation to NHS Charities Together, and barbers can choose to donate all or a portion of their wages to the NHS.

Daniel graduated with an LLB from ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Laws in 2013, and is Co-Founder of Swap - an online platform for a "community of world-class
corporate finance talent".
