The case will be a challenge to the decision of the Prime Minister to prorogue Parliament for five weeks until 18 October 2019. The team will sayÌýthat the proration unjustifiably undermines Parliamentary sovereignty and is a justiciable public law power.

Tom was part of Gina Miller’s legal team in 2016-17 when she brought a legal case that forced parliament to legislate before Article 50 could be invoked. In January 2017, Tom, along with ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Laws colleague Professor Jeff King, were praised by Lord David Pannick QC as providing theÌý‘origins of the litigation’ in the landmark Brexit ruling.

In November 2018 Gina Miller delivered the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº LawsÌýAnnual Mishcon Lecture on ‘What is Truth?’
