Professor Richard Rawlings made Honorary Distinguished Professor by Cardiff University

Professor Richard (Rick) Rawlings, Professor of Public Law at 果冻影院 Faculty of Laws, has been made an Honorary Distinguished Professor by Cardiff University

The award, conferred by Cardiff University鈥檚 School of Law and Politics for five years, follows a nomination made by聽聽on behalf of the聽聽and the聽

Professor Rawlings said:

鈥淭he Wales Governance Centre is an essential and innovative centre of expertise and research on politics and law聽in Wales and the UK. Last year I was delighted to deliver the Centre鈥檚 annual St David鈥檚 Day lecture. Being appointed Honorary Distinguished Professor further strengthens my relationship with the Centre as I embark on a major study of Wales and the Union with the support of the Leverhulme Trust. I am very pleased to accept this honour.鈥�

Professor Rawlings is a Leverhulme Trust Major Research Fellow, Honorary Bencher of Middle Temple, Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales, and Life Fellow of the Institute of Welsh Affairs. He was formerly Legal Adviser to the House of Lords Constitution Committee and currently serves on the Welsh Advisory Committee of the Law Commission.
