Professor Ormerod, who is currently on secondment to the Law Commission, will teach undergraduate and graduate students on criminal law.

Throughout his academic career and at the Law Commission, he has earned the reputation as an influential legal expert, and the experience he brings will be hugely beneficial to our Faculty and students.鈥�

Professor Ormerod is already actively engaged in the work of the聽果冻影院 Centre for Criminal Law, which aims to hold a new series of evening lectures with leading speakers on topical matters to practitioner and academic audiences, and to engage with policymakers both formally and informally.

聽from the 果冻影院 Centre for Criminal Law said: 鈥淒avid is a unique figure in criminal justice. He is the first academic to whom practitioners and judges like to turn and seems not only to carry around an encyclopaedic knowledge of the substantive criminal law, rules of evidence and procedure, but also constantly to update it.
