Prerequisite for entry
Successful completion of German Level 1+ at 果冻影院 Centre for Languages & International Education or for learners who have studied the language before, for instance up to GCSE level, and have some knowledge of the main present and present perfect tenses.
Students will be familiar with these grammar and linguistic structures.
Term duration
10 x 2-hour classes.
Progression
After 20 hours students may progress to level 2+.
Aims and objectives
The aim of the course is to give students an opportunity to revise their survival skills and acquire more sophisticated ways of dealing with practical matters.鈥� This includes revision,听consolidation听of vocabulary and grammatical structures already learnt and exploration an expansion听of听new听vocabulary, grammar, morphology, syntax and phonetics. Cultural awareness will be developed.听

Basic rules of the pronunciation of spoken German.
Grammar
- Preposition; reflexive verb;听dass,听weil,听obwohl听clauses听
- Perfect Tense; future tense听
- 听verbs with preposition (sich听盲谤驳别谤苍听眉产别谤); questions; infinitive with听zu听
- More conjunctions; simple past (笔谤盲迟别谤颈迟耻尘)听
- Prepositions with accusative and dative; genitive case听
