Researchers can now apply for cross-institutional funding
Researchers can now apply for cross-institutional funding towards translational research projects which aim to manage, mitigate and halt Covid-19.
Awards are expected to be in the range of £20-50k, and the deadline for the first call is 2 June.
Projects should focus on rapid responses and novel solutions to understand and tackle the challenges faced during this continually evolving pandemic.
The initiative is supported by the theÌý¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Coronavirus Response Fund, with co-funding from theÌý¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Wellcome Institutional Strategic Support FundÌýand the ¹û¶³Ó°ÔºH, GOSH and Moorfields NIHR Biomedical Research Centres.
This internal funding opportunity has a broad scope and is expected to seed novel research projects, bridge funding gaps, pump-prime further external research grant applications of boost ongoing strategic projects and initiatives where value can be added.
Projects should be 6-12 months in duration and researchers should be in a position to start the project as soon as funding is agreed. Proposals from all disciplines across ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº are welcome.
