Perimenopause and Menopause Support

At the Queen Square Institute of Neurology, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture where every individual feels valued and empowered.

Recognising the importance of perimenopause and menopause support, we have introduced a dedicated (Peri)Menopause Champion to advocate for awareness and provide essential support to colleagues experiencing perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms.Ìý

The (Peri)Menopause Champion serves as a vital resource and advocate for individuals navigating the menopausal transition within our workplace. By promoting awareness, offering support, and advocating for inclusive policies and practices, the (Peri)Menopause Champion plays a crucial role in fostering a more understanding and supportive environment for all employees.Ìý

If you are passionate about supporting individuals experiencing peri/menopause and creating a more inclusive and supportive workplace environment, we encourage you to apply for the (Peri)Menopause Champion role.Ìý

You should discuss the opportunity and time commitment with your line manager and secure their support prior to expressing an interest. Expressions of interest can be directed to ion.equality@ucl.ac.uk and ion.hradmin@ucl.ac.uk.Ìý

The (Peri)Menopause Champion will become a member of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the Committee’s Culture and Wellbeing Action Group. Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of our colleagues and build a workplace culture that values and supports every individual.Ìý
