These guidelines lay out the guidance which must be followed by all 果冻影院 staff who drive as part of their role at 果冻影院.

果冻影院 Fleet Workplace Transport Drivers
1. This policy should be read in conjunction with the Traffic Management Plan policy.
2. Staff who will be driving in the course of their work with 果冻影院 must ensure they hold a current driving licence which allows driving of this category, which is free of endorsements for driving, or attempting to drive, while unfit through drink or drugs or with excess alcohol in the blood; or for careless or for dangerous driving.听
3. 果冻影院 staff who are required to drive Group 1 or Group 2 vehicles as part of their 果冻影院 role, and where this is laid down in their job description, require a health assessment to be carried out by Workplace Health. The health assessment will form part of the job application process and will be assessed against the Group 2 standards for all drivers where driving is part of their job description. The health check will be repeated at 5 yearly intervals from age 45 and annually from age 65 in line with the
4. In addition, 果冻影院 staff who drive a Group 2 vehicle voluntarily on 果冻影院 business also require a health assessment to be carried out by Workplace Health. The health assessment will be repeated at 5 yearly intervals from age 45 and annually from age 65, if the requirement to drive on 果冻影院 business continues. 听The staff member and manager are responsible for ensuring this is completed. 听
5. The line manager must satisfy themselves that drivers comply with the above requirements, must confirm annually to the Insurance Manager that there are no changes to a staff member鈥檚 driving licences and that a drivers health screening has been completed by Workplace Health and is up to date.
6.听If during their work, a staff member鈥檚 licence is revoked or gains an endorsement which may impact their role, they are required to inform their line manager immediately, please see the DBS Checks and Criminal Convictions Policy for further information The line manager must then immediately inform 果冻影院鈥檚 Insurance Manager and take advice from their HR Business Partner.
7.听Failure to declare changes to a staff member鈥檚 licence as required above may result in disciplinary action.
8.听If you drive a minibus, you must follow the Government鈥檚 guidance and 果冻影院鈥檚 Policy on Driving a Minibus. The guidance confirms who can drive a minibus and when a permit and/or Public Service Vehicle operator licence is required.

Driving while on 果冻影院 Business
9.听All 果冻影院 staff who drive while conducting business on behalf of 果冻影院 must have a valid GB driving licence or a non-GB driving licence that is valid for use in Great Britain. Staff can check if their non-GB licence is valid for driving in Great Britain by using the. All staff are expected to adhere to and the at all times, or to the traffic code of the country they are in, if this is not the UK. 听
10.听Additionally, it is expected that 果冻影院 staff driving on behalf of 果冻影院:
- Do not operate mobile phones while driving, including having hands free calls, messaging and changing any GPS settings
- Do not operate a vehicle whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs (including prescribed medication which impairs the ability to drive)
- Do not smoke in 果冻影院 vehicles
- Do not drive if excessively tired
- Ensure all passengers wear seatbelts
11.听Where individuals use their own vehicles (鈥淕rey Fleet鈥�) for 果冻影院 business (including travelling to another campus that is not your normal place of work; travelling to conferences etc.) they must make their insurer aware that the trip is for business purposes and have the appropriate business insurance. Business insurance is not required for commuting to their usual place of work.
12.听When hire vehicles are used, wherever possible, hire firms recommended by 果冻影院 should be used. 听When arranging car hire, 果冻影院鈥檚 Travel Policy and Expenses Policy must be followed. 听
13.听All drivers are expected to familiarise themselves with 果冻影院鈥檚 Insurance Policy information, including conducting a Risk Assessment where required. 听
14.听Drivers are expected to plan their journeys effectively, to avoid excessive driving hours, ensuring regular rest breaks are taken periodically. 听
15.听Drivers must be familiar with the type of vehicle they will be using before starting any journey. If the driver鈥檚 own vehicle is being used, it must be roadworthy and have passed its MOT.听 听听
16.听Cars hired for work purposes听must not under any circumstances be used for any of the following purposes:听
- racing or rally driving
- hire or reward; and
- driving tuition of any kind, including tuition of family members.
17. Any fines incurred while driving for 果冻影院, including speeding and parking fines, are payable by the driver.
