Rong Li

Rong is interested in Archaic and Classical Greek social and economic history, especially the long-distance commercial activity in ancient times. Her current research project examines the foreign trade and economic history of ancient Corinth during the Archaic period. This project investigates the pattern of Corinth鈥檚 foreign trade within the Mediterranean sea in the Archaic period, and also the role of foreign trade in affecting the economic and social aspects of Corinth. It also attempts to participate in the discussion of the ancient Greek economy which has been mostly discussed on the economy of Athens. If any, the research on Corinth鈥檚 economy could provide a reference for the debates on the ancient Greek economy.
