Launching the ‘Tomorrow’s Home: 2050’ exhibition

On Monday 22 November, ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº colleagues, community members and partners gathered at the Museum of the Home to celebrate the launch of a new immersive exhibition.

‘Tomorrow’s Home’ draws upon leading research from the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Institute of Healthcare Engineering. The exhibitionÌýplayfully imagines how our dwellings could be designed to help us live independently and well as we age and support our changing planet.Ìý

It is running from 20 November 2021 to 9 January 2022 at theÌýÌýin Hoxton.ÌýThe exhibition is curated byÌýÌýand funded byÌýa RoyalÌýAcademy of Engineering Ingenious award.Ìý

The evening began with a series of talks from researchers and community partners involved in the exhibition.ÌýThe talks spanned from home design in Ancient Rome through to homes in space!ÌýÌý

Attendees were then given a private viewing of the exhibition, accompanied by researchers and Impact Fellows from the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Institute of Healthcare Engineering.Ìý

For many of the guests, it was their first large in-person event since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and many expressed pleasure at finally meeting their colleagues and collaborators face-to-face!
