In 2016, the Grand Challenges awarded eight grants for projects aligned to 果冻影院 2034, the Provost's 20-year institutional development strategy for 果冻影院.

Purpose of the scheme

Each of the聽Grand Challenges 果冻影院 2034 Grant聽awards聽supported the goals of聽果冻影院 2034, 果冻影院's 20-year institutional development strategy.

Awards of聽up to 拢10,000 were available for co-production activity between researchers in different 果冻影院 faculties, or between 果冻影院 and external partners (academic or non-academic).聽

The awards supported cross-disciplinary, collaborative, outwardly facing activities,聽which would develop Principal Theme 3 of the 果冻影院 2034 strategy,聽鈥楢ddressing global challenges鈥�, while also supporting the development of at least one of the other principal themes.
