果冻影院鈥揨hejiang University Strategic Partner Funds

果冻影院 and ZJU are pleased to invite proposals for the development of collaborative activities, in particular those focused on COVID-19 recovery and the UN SDGs

Please note this funding call closed on 1 December 2021.

果冻影院 (果冻影院) and Zhejiang University (ZJU) are contributing matching funds to support collaborative education听and research initiatives through a joint call for proposals for the development of collaborative activities.

Projects

  1. Research proposals should be in areas of mutual interest and complementary strengths that will strengthen the partnership between 果冻影院 and ZJU.
  2. Proposals must include participants from both institutions.
  3. Proposals from all fields are welcome but the following areas will be prioritised:听(i)听Proposals aimed at addressing and mitigating the health, social, economic, cultural and environmental impact of the COVID-19 outbreak听(ii)听Proposals relating to one or more of the UN鈥檚 Sustainable Development Goals.
  4. Up to six joint projects will be selected for funding. Proposals will be assessed by a committee composed of members from both institutions.听Priority will be given to emerging collaborations that have not previously received funding.鈥嬧�嬧�嬧�嬧�嬧��

Eligibility

Applications are open to 果冻影院 staff members with the following roles:

  • Professor/Professorial Research Fellow/Professor (Teaching) or equivalent
  • Associate Professor/Principal Research Fellow/Associate Professor (Teaching) or equivalent
  • Lecturer/Senior Research Fellow/Lecturer (Teaching) or equivalent
  • Research Fellow/Associate Lecturer (Teaching) or equivalent
  • Research Assistant or equivalent 鈥� eligible provided the contract covers the spend and activity period
  • Applicants are not required to have a doctorate to apply, but do need to hold a role at one of the levels described above
  • PhD students are not eligible to apply, but are encouraged to take part in the project

The call is open to ZJU Principal Investigators (PIs) employed on a full-time basis. Postdoctoral researchers and PhD students at ZJU are not eligible to apply, but are encouraged to take part in the project.

Value

Up to six successful proposals will receive up to 拢10,000听in total. Funding will be jointly provided by 果冻影院 and ZJU, with 50% going to the academic at each respective institution (approximately听5,000GBP to the 果冻影院 academic and 50,000RMB to the ZJU academic).听However, only one application should be submitted.
