WATCH: European Perspectives on COVID-19

In a recent series of webinars, partners in Rome and Paris joined 果冻影院 to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on governance, education and culture
From 22 June to 3 July 2020, the 果冻影院 Cities partnerships Programme (CpP) in collaboration with the聽果冻影院 European Institute, hosted 鈥淓uropean Perspectives on COVID-19,鈥� a series of four webinars exploring the extraordinary challenges posed by the current pandemic to teaching, research, mobility and cultural and artistic practices.
The sessions were chaired by Dr Uta Staiger,聽Director聽of the 果冻影院 European Institute and Pro-Vice-Provost for Europe, Professor聽Claire Colomb, CpP Academic Director for Paris and Professor Florian Mussgnug, CpP Academic Director for Rome.
Panellists included leading researchers, policy makers and arts professionals. Among them were academics from 果冻影院 and speakers from some of 果冻影院鈥檚 key European partners in Paris and Rome, including Sapienza University of Rome, University of Roma 3, Sciences-Po Paris and Sorbonne University.
Around 200 individuals attended across the four sessions, with attendees joining from the UK, Italy and France, as well as Canada, Saudi Arabia, India, Ireland, Austria.
Filomena Casamasa from the British Council in Italy said: 鈥淲e found the sessions really interesting and the mix of interventions from panellists of different countries made the discussion even more diverse and informative. It was great to hear about the challenges that the universities are facing and the positive message they gave for looking ahead.鈥�
