Special event at RGS-IBG Annual Conference
A special event to remember聽Professor Claire Dwyer聽was held at the on Thursday 29th August. It was hosted by the RGS-IBG and the 聽and chaired by , the Chair of the Conference.
The meeting's purpose was to create a time and space where Claire鈥檚 friends and colleagues could share memories and celebrate her contributions to the discipline, especially feminist and gender geography and the geographies of religion and ethnicity.
In a packed Education Centre, speakers included James Kneale, Ruth Judge, Nina Laurie, Rosy Cox, David Gilbert and Nazneem Ahmed. There were several further contributions from the audience and the meeting concluded with thanks, and an appreciation of his family鈥檚 commitment to geography, from Claire鈥檚 husband, Paul Farmer.
