More about Professor Dittmer

Thinking about how the past can be incorporated into the present in new, politically emancipatory ways, has the potential to unlock contemporary conflicts. My current research examines British colonial heritage and the way it is incorporated into political assemblages from the local (e.g., Gibraltar) to the global (e.g., the UNESCO World Heritage programme).Ìý

Teaching

I teach on the following modules:

  • Overseas Field Course: Gibraltar (GEOG0063, Convenor)
  • Geo-Politics (GEOG0084, Convenor)

I also supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.Ìý
