LGBTQI+

The ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Department of Geography is proud of our welcoming environment for all our LGBTQI+ students and staff.

To help foster that atmosphere, we have ourÌýown LGBTQI+ network calledÌýOut in Geography.ÌýThe groupÌýmeet once a term for coffee and cake, and social events have included bowling and anÌý! In January 2019 they organised a well-attended, ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº-wide event onÌýGender Diversity in the University, and in July 2019 and February 2020 held an LGBTQI+ themed Wikithon.

A dedicated Facebook page and confidential mailing list are used to promote news stories relevant to the group and the network reports directly to the EDI Committee.Ìý
