Earth Resources underpin society, particularly providing sustainable and secure supplies of resources needed for the energy transition.
We use a mixture of field, laboratory, experimental and modelling methods to understand how Earth Resources form, and how resource extraction can become more sustainable and environmentally friendly. We aim to understand all aspects of Sustainable Resources including: the geological processes which form Earth Resources, better methods for Resource exploration, extraction, processing and remediation, and the environmental and social impact of Resource extraction.
