Innovation in the Italian Counter-Reformation聽presents a radical reconsideration of creative production in post-Tridentine Italy, challenging the enduring 鈥渂lack legend鈥 of the Italian Counter-Reformation. The volume鈥檚 contributors weave literary analysis together with religion, theatre, art, music, science, and gender to demonstrate that the literature of this period not only merits study聽but is positively innovative. This roundtable brings together the volume editors, contributors and discussants.听
