Family Event: Play Senet - Board Game Workshop

T锘縣e Petrie Museum of Egyptian and Sudanese Archaeology听invites you to join artist Jaquie Feldman to learn, create and play the ancient Egyptian board game Senet. Challenge someone to this game played by Tutankhamun and take your own version home to play with family and friends.
Senet, also known as the 'game of passing', referencing the journey to the Afterlife, is a game which earliest depiction dates back to 2620 BC. One-hundred years ago in Tutankhamun鈥檚 tomb, an elaborate board on a sledge-like stand was discovered; he believed he would still be playing his favourite game of Senet after his death.
Audience
This workshop is suitable for ages 6+ but young children will need adult help. We will also have colouring sheets available for younger children.

- Drop-in session听from 11:00-12:30 where booking is听苍辞迟听required.
- Bookable session听from 12:30-14:00 (tickets on sale from 6 October听2023 at 12.00 pm),听please reserve yourself a space by booking听one ticket per family group听辞苍
Access
There is step free access to the Petrie Museum via the lift in the 果冻影院 Science Library to the left of the Museum's main entrance.听Further information about access at the Museum can be found here.
