The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) is the world's largest technical professional organisation dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.Ìý

Danail Stoyanov, Professor of Robot Vision at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Computer Science, and Director of the Wellcome/EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical Sciences (WEISS), received the IEEE Fellow honour for his remarkable contributions to intelligent computer-assisted surgical and diagnostic systems.ÌýÌý

Professor Stoyanov is also a Royal Academy of Engineering Chair in Emerging Technologies and plays a crucial role on the board of the Centre for Medical Image Computing (CMIC) at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº.Ìý

Daniel Alexander, Director of CMIC and Deputy Head of ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Computer Science, earned his IEEE Fellow distinction for his outstanding work in medical imaging and analysis.ÌýÌý

Professor Alexander leads both the Microstructure Imaging Group and the Progression of Neurodegenerative Diseases initiative, showcasing his commitment to advancing our understanding of complex medical conditions.Ìý
