Yannis looks after all elements of HR for the department. Tristan is esponsible for costing research proposals and seeking ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº approval on new research proposals. Liaising with ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº central teams including research services, research contracts and post-award finance to achieve the timely set up of successful awards and the approval of contracts for research funding. Monitoring research expenditure within the department and liaising with Principal Investigators to ensure funding and project resources are allocated effectively

Across Lighting this comprises design, rigging, programming and problem-solving and within Video includes composition, capture and editing.

Responsibilities

As a Lead Technician at PEARL, Ayako is mainly responsible for some instrumentation management and data analysis including code writing (mainly in Matlab). Currently interested in eye trackers, fNIRS and OAE (otoacoustic emissions) devices.

Our main aim is to share our knowledge, resources, and opportunities with the wider community. We work as a team to develop community research, education, engagement and co-creation projects with individuals, external partners, and stakeholders.

PEARL Research Manager

Responsibilities

Derrick collaborates with researchers from various backgrounds who want to use the PEARL experimental facilities, schedule research activities and enable the provision of a high-quality scientific environment for research work. He also manages the administration of ethics applications and data archives for research activities at PEARL and helps promote the laboratory as a unique world leader in human-environment interactions research. DerrickÌýisÌýalso responsible for the purchasing of laboratory and workshop equipment and consumables.

Responsibilities

As a Community Partnerships and Engagement Representative, David helps with linking PEARL to the community, particularly creating awareness of PEARL and what it does, especially with regard to experiments. DavidÌýisÌýalso responsible for helping with administrative duties.

DEPUTY SAFETY OFFICER AND BUILDING MANAGEMENT

Responsibilities

As CEGE deputy Safety Officer, Nikolaos isÌýresponsible forÌýall of ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's best Health & Safety practices are applied.ÌýNikolaos looks after the maintenance operations of PEARL'S building infrastructure and takes care that ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Security applications are active and in place for the facility. Lastly, NikolaosÌýensures that all the GDPR practices are in place.
