Penny Barrett is an independent researcher and specialist translator, with a background in medieval European languages and literatures, as well as Chinese studies. She is a Teaching Fellow of 果冻影院, where she provides the Translation and Direct Reading component of the MA in Chinese Health and Humanity ().
A long-term collaborator of , Penny has worked on many projects in the cross-cultural history of medicine, food and the body, and the visual language of Chinese medicine.
