¹û¶³Ó°Ôº

The ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Institute for Sustainable Resources is pleased to welcome Dr Alister Scott as our first Honorary Professor of Practice. Alister has a wealth of experience in research, leadership and action on climate change and other pressing sustainability challenges. 

Alister is a leadership advisor, systemic coach and movement builder, and has worked with more than 20 organisational Founders and their successors. He is also a Co-Director of the Global Rewilding Alliance, helping to build the global rewilding movement.

Alister Scott noted:

“It's a huge honour to be joining the ISR team and to be recognised in this way. ISR, the Bartlett and ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº have earned global reputations for the quality of the research, teaching and public/policy engagement done here, and I'm greatly looking forward to making a contribution. I particularly look forward to trying to inspire many more students to become involved in the global rewilding movement, or to pursue leadership roles in the environmental movement more widely.

Professor Jim Watson, Director of the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Institute for Sustainable Resources, added:

“We are delighted that Alister is joining us in ISR. Across ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº, Honorary staff play a significant role in our teaching, research and impact work. Alister has already helped one ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Masters student find her way into the world of work via a Research Internship at the Global Rewilding Alliance and then on to a paid role elsewhere. Alister’s leadership skills and expertise will be particularly valuable for our students, and for helping us to use our research to tackle climate change and nature degradation.
