ESRC PhD Research Studentships in the Social and Policy Studies of Energy and the Environment is a study pathway on the in the Grouping 'Cities, Environment and Development'.

-    ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Science Technology and Public Policy

The aim of this is to contribute to building a better social science informed evidence base for energy and environment policies, through training applied social scientists in the field. The focus is the critical social scientific analysis of natural scientific, engineering and social scientific (including economic) evidence production and use, for instance evidence derived from various modelling approaches.

The is inviting applications for fully-funded ESRC studentships to commence study in October 2017.

Studentships are available across the UBEL DTP institutions and research topics need to fall under any of the pathways available at the DTP. Before applying, students should make sure that they have and made contact with their prospective department.

These awards will cover:
Full payment of tuition fees per year (including masters and training years for 1+3; 2+3 and +4 studentships)
Annual maintenance stipend (full-time: £16,296 and part-time: £9,778 for 2016/7)
