MPA scholarships

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Friends & AlumniÌýAssociation

The ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Friends & Alumni Association is a US non-profit organisation dedicated to raising awareness and support for research,Ìýeducation, and innovation at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº (¹û¶³Ó°Ôº).

Additionally, the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Friends & Alumni Association works to connect talented American students with the opportunities offered at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº, providing funding for master’s scholarships in global health, crime science and public policy.

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº is committed to using its diverse intellectual community to engage with pressing global challenges made possible through generous philanthropic support. The work of the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Friends & Alumni Association allows alumni and supporters in the United States to effectively contribute to the ground-breaking projects and academic leadership for which ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº is renowned.

One award is available for the following programme:

  • $20,000 for a US student on the MPA Innovation, Public Policy and Public Value

IIPP Policy Studio MPA Scholarship

The IIPP Studio MPA Scholarship aims to bring diverse and global talent to join IIPP. The IIPP Studio MPA Scholarship is fully-funded and available to both home and overseas students on a full or part-time basis.Ìý

This scholarship is designed to bridge of theory and practice, particularly in relation to new economic thinking and public sector innovation. IIPP MPA Studio Scholars are specifically linked with the IIPP Studio, which is at the centre of IIPP’s policy work: students benefit from supervision by a member of the IIPP Studio team, have the option of placements within active Studio partnerships, and work together on group projects that benefits IIPP’s research and policy work.

The IIPP Studio works with public sector partners to develop the tools and capabilities needed to address global grand challenges – from inequality and Covid-19 to the climate emergency. The Studio’s work is informed by IIPP’s research, specifically focusing on research in market shaping policies, practices of collective value creation, dynamic capabilities of public organisations and directing finance.

Scholarship applicants will be assessed across three areas: Firstly, academic and/or professional excellence; secondly, financial need; and, thirdly, interest in one or more of IIPP’s research themes (market shaping, collective value creation, dynamic capabilities and directing finance). Applications for 2022/23 have now closed.

Bartlett Promise Master's scholarship

This scholarship aims to enable students from backgrounds underrepresented in The Bartlett, ¹û¶³Ó°Ôºâ€™s Faculty of the Built Environment to pursue master's studies at The Bartlett.Ìý

Full tuition fees plus an allowance to cover living and study expenses (£15,364), for the normal duration of the programme at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº. All Promise scholars will also receive on-going academic and career support during their study. Ten scholarships are available to students starting September 2022. We are also offering up to three additional scholarships with the Aziz Foundation.

Chevening scholarshipÌý

The Chevening scholarship is designed for students who wish to pursue a one-year Masters programme. These scholarships are fully funded to cover flights, accommodation and tuition fees. This scholarship is extremely popular so we recommend you apply as early as possible.Ìý

Masters Alumni Bursary

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's Masters Alumni Bursary aims to enable and encourage those from low-income backgrounds, who have gained a ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº undergraduate degree, to pursue full-time Master's degree studies at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº. The bursary offers £10,000 for one year. Deadline 17 June 2021.
