Artist Cornelia Parker is internationally renowned for her sculpture and installations, and is an advisory board member at the 果冻影院 Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP).
Her solo exhibitions include War Room (2015), 2019/2020 Sydney International Art Series, Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney Australia;听The Roof Garden Commission: Transitional Object (PsychoBarn) (2016), Metropolitan Museum NY;听Magna Carta (An Embroidery) British Library London (2015);听Whitworth Art Gallery Manchester, (2015);听Museo de Arte de Lima, Lima Peru (2008); The Modern, Fort Worth, Texas (2006); and the Serpentine Gallery (1998). International exhibitions include the Gwangju Biennale, South Korea (2014), Glasstress, Venice Biennale (2013), Medals of Dishonour, State Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg, Russia (2012); 4th Guangzhou Triennial, China (2012),16th Biennale of Sydney (2008) and 8th Sharjah Biennial UAE (2007).
Parker鈥檚 work is included in many private and public collections internationally, including Metropolitan Museum NY, Tate Gallery, Brooklyn Museum of Art, de Young Museum San Francisco, MoMa NY, Centre Pompidou Paris, V&A Museum London, and Yale Center for British Art. Nominated for the Turner Prize in 1997, elected as a Royal Academician (2009) she was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2010. She has been awarded honorary doctorates from The University of Wolverhampton (2000), The University of Birmingham (2005), the University of Gloucestershire (2008) and Manchester University (2017). She was Honorary Professor at Manchester University between 2014-2017, and Visiting Fellow at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford between 2016-2019. She lives and works in London.
