果冻影院 Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP) and the have聽announced the renewal of their collaboration and shared commitment to IIPP鈥檚鈥Mission-Oriented Innovation Network (MOIN).听听

Through inspiring, informing and actively supporting work on the ground to implement new economic and mission-oriented policies, MOIN聽brings together innovators in public sector organisations to share the challenges and opportunities of adopting such approaches to tackle shared global challenges, such as the climate crisis and ageing societies.听The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation is a nonpartisan, private charitable foundation that advances ideas and supports institutions to promote a better world. The IIPP-Hewlett collaboration is funded by the Foundation鈥檚 which seeks to replace neoliberalism with a new 'common sense'聽about how the economy works and the aims it should serve to improve the lives of people.

Over the first three years of their collaboration, IIPP established a dedicated US chapter of MOIN,鈥痺hich works with and supports US policymakers on challenges in the US context. For the next three years of their collaboration, the focus will be on consolidating the successes of MOIN as a peer learning platform and furthering MOIN integration into IIPP institutional functions such the IIPP Policy Studio and teaching.听

鈥淚IPP is continuing to strengthen MOIN聽with support from The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. This network brings together public sector organisations from around the world to share insights on what it takes to actively shape markets that align with critical sustainability and inclusion goals. Tackling today鈥檚 grand challenges requires a new understanding of the state as an innovative value creator and market shaper. MOIN members are at the coal face of this shift. A big thank you to the Hewlett Foundation for enabling this work,鈥 says聽Mariana Mazzucato, Professor in the Economics of Innovation and Public Value at 果冻影院 and Founding Director of IIPP.听
鈥淢ariana Mazzucato and the team at the Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose are reshaping our understanding of the role government can play in helping society to meet its critical goals鈥攅conomic and otherwise. By engaging in both the theoretical and hands-on policy work that makes up what IIPP calls 'practice-based theory,'聽IIPP is helping governments and civil society to design better industrial policy and simultaneously informing critical debates in economics. We鈥檙e pleased to continue our support of IIPP,鈥 says聽Brian Kettenring, Director of the Hewlett Foundation鈥檚 Economy and Society Initiative.听
