Inaugural ISH Photo Competition winners announced

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº ISH is proud to announce the winners of the inaugural ISH Photo Competition.
Dozens of ¹û¶³Ó°ÔºÂ staff and students entered excellent photographs on the theme of 'Future Heritage', an important research strand in ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº ISH's strategy.Â
While heritage is often considered in a historical context, much of ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº ISH’s work relates to protecting existing heritage from present and future impacts, which can range from global climate change and conflict to changing technologies and use.
The entries were judged by ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº ISH Director Professor May Cassar, visual anthropologist and artist Marcel Reyez-Cortez and ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº BSEER Communications Manager Alex Blackburn.
The winning entries are:
- Ahmed Kawser, ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº BSEER (winning £100 of vouchers):
'Longplayer' - This lighthouse houses Tibetan 'singing bowls' run by algorithms to play a evolving musical composition designed to play without repetition for 1000 years - Mark Kearney, ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº ISH (winning £50 of vouchers):
'An uncertain future' - Andre Afonso, ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Bartlett School of Architecture (winning £50 of vouchers):
'Vanishing urban media - London'
