Questions addressed were around the plan, and whether should an island community be doing more or better and how does it compare to other countries and jurisdictions.

鈥�The Electricity Strategy for Guernsey presents a comprehensive plan that address the island鈥檚 energy need. To evaluate whether Guernsey should be doing more, the island鈥檚 energy strategy should be tailored to its specific needs and capabilities.

There are other islands from where lessons learnt could be considered. Such as Orkney, which made significant progress in renewable energy adoption, particularly wind and tidal power.听Currently around 10% of the population produce their own power. Guernsey could assess Orkney鈥檚 experiences to gain insights into community engagement, finance and investments.鈥�
