We're hiring: Research Assistant in Transport Planning

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Energy Institute's MaaSLab are looking for a Research Assistant in Transport Planning.

The main purpose of the role is to work with MaaSLab at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Energy Institute assisting with the construction and application of readiness indexes for several mobility concepts and translate the results into policy recommendations, and with the development and application of evaluation frameworks to assess the impact of transport-related interventions in several MaaSLab projects.

The post holder will also assist in extending the state-of-the-art in transport planning for new mobility services, and undertake and contribute to administrative work for specific projects of MaaSLab. The post holder will also be expected to assist in the expansion of MaaSLab’s research portfolio by contributing to national and international grant applications and to scientific paper publications

The post has funding for 6 months, further funding to support the post may be available.

About MaaSLab

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Energy Institute’s MaaSLabÌýsits within a wider transport and energy group encompassing work on aviation and surface transport.

Started in 2016, MaaSLab focuses on urban transport and explores new mobility concepts, such as Mobility as a Service, and new technologies such as automated vehicles, and drones.

MaaSLab’s expertise lies on transport and behavioural models, survey design and innovative data collection techniques, big data handling and visualization, new mobility service design and business models.

Key Requirements

Our ideal candidate will have aÌýpostgraduate degree in transport planning, political science, public policy, business, economics, engineering, geography or another transport-related field, together with experience in designing evaluation frame works or indexes (ideally for transport related topics).

Experience in designing and conducting interview surveys including preparing the according data protection documents is also required.

Experience in project management is desirable.
