Institute awarded historic third Platform Grant

果冻影院 BSEER has been awarded a historic third Platform Grant by the EPSRC.

果冻影院鈥檚 Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources (BSEER) is delighted to announce the successful renewal of .

This grant, the听third of its kind won by the听CBES group, represents听the only听current听Platform Grant given in the Built Environment听area, and only one of two听currently听held听by a department at 果冻影院. There are just 52听Platform Grants in the whole country.

果冻影院 BSEER consists of 果冻影院鈥檚 Energy Institute, Institute for Sustainable Resources, Institute for Environmental Design and Engineering, and the Institute for Sustainable Heritage听all of which are part of the CBES Platform Grant.

Platform grants support established UK groups considered to be world leading in their fields. They are a flexible mechanism of providing underpinning funding to well established, world leading research groups.

With the grant, BSEER and partners aim to develop a new strategic programme of research aimed at informing the scientific understanding of the systemic nature of a sustainable built environment. The grant will support retention and career development of key staff members through bridging between projects and by funding concept development project work. The grant also allows BSEER to build knowledge exchange through industry fellowships, collaborative projects and internships for platform staff.
