DPU Director accepts invitation to become a fellow at the Institution of Civil Engineers

Congratulations to DPU Director Prof. Julio D D谩vila who has accepted an invitation by the London-based Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) to become an ICE Fellow.
With a membership of 93,000 in tens of countries,听ICE is听the oldest and one of the most respected professional听engineering associations in the world. Founded in 1818, its first President was the Scottish听engineer Thomas Telford, a听pioneer of modern engineering and听designer of听over 1,000 bridges.听According to the听ICE, a听Fellowship "is a mark of professional excellence, and an endorsement of leadership, knowledge, skills and experience... Fellows are often known and respected in the听industry for their expertise."

Julio looks forward to working with ICE colleagues with a view to exchanging ideas about听the contribution听that infrastructure can make to the challenges of听rapid urbanisation, and social and spatial听fragmentation in Global South cities.听
