Luke Pearson, tutor on the BSc Architecture UG4 design unit, is organising , a panel discussion on the relationship between architecture, pop culture, politics and technology, on Thursday 18 June. The panel, hosted at Swedenborg Hall in Bloomsbury, will interrogate how the shifting technological landscapes around us have fundamentally changed our relationship to the production of culture. It has been curated through Luke’s design practice You+Pea, a partnership with Bartlett MArch Architecture Unit 11 alum, Sandra Youkhana.

Julia King and Jan Kattein, tutors on the BSc Architecture UG3 design unit, are hosting a about the making of the New Skip Garden in King’s Cross, the first time in living memory that Bartlett students design and build a real project on a real site for a real client. The film focuses on the collaboration with the client, Global Generation, and the students’ design process capitalizing on a network of collaborators and local contractors.

Hilary Powell, previously an AHRC Fellow in the Performing Arts at The Bartlett School of Architecture, is launching her new project and book , revealing the processes she has undertaken in collaboration with demolition contractors, printmakers and scientists - applying traditional print techniques to reclaimed demolition site materials to create images of urban change and those who work to implement it. 

Bartlett alum Chris Bryant and his practice Alma-nac are hosting an open studio and talk on – the process of evolving a city through many micro projects.

The has been part of the London Festival of Architecture since 2013 and returns again this year, in a new temporary space at 140 Hampstead Road. The exhibition is open for two weeks from Saturday 27 June, with an opening party in ¹û¶³Ó°Ôºâ€™s Main Quadrangle on the evening of Friday 26 June.
