About us

The Arts and Sciences Department runs truly interdisciplinary education in a world class university. Our programmes allow students to shape their studies and prepare graduates for the increasingly interconnected and changing world we live in. Our Bachelor of Arts and Sciences allows students to mix humanities, social sciences and sciences, while offering a high level of student choice. Our Bachelor of Creative Arts and Humanities has our students mixing thinking about creativity with practicing creative projects in the areas of writing, performance and film. And our Masters of Arts and Sciences in Creative Health leads the world in opening up the are of community and creative health practices.

Our students go on to a wide range of careers because they have the ability to find the career of their choice through our interdisciplinarity. We continue to innovate in teaching and are the leading interdisciplinary department in the UK.
