Biography:

I am Professor of Heritage Studies at the 果冻影院 Institute of Archaeology; AHRC Heritage Priority Area Leadership Fellow; Principal Investigator of the AHRC-funded听Heritage Futures听Research听Programme, and lead the Work Package on 鈥淭heorizing heritage futures in Europe: heritage scenarios鈥�听in听the Doctoral Training Network听CHEurope: Critical Heritage Studies and the Future of Europe. I am the founding editor of the听Journal of Contemporary Archaeology,听and听joint Director of the 果冻影院-University of Gothenburg Centre for Critical Heritage Studies.听My current research interests relate to the role of different forms of natural and cultural heritage conservation as future-making practices in the Anthropocene, and the future role of heritage and museums in the context of the extinction crisis and climate emergency. I have particular interests in international biobanking initiatives and other forms of biological and cultural collections in relation to these issues, and how these interface with issues of colonial and postcolonial governmentality.
