Learn Upon accessibility statement

This accessibility statement applies to the Learn Upon platform and all its eLearning content.

This statement applies to the Learn Upon platform and all the eLearning content hosted on the platform which is used by ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº staff.

This platform is managed by OD Digital Learning team. The platform is available for all ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº staff to undertake any eLearning courses hosted on this platform including mandatory trainings. To cater to the needs of everyone to be able to use the eLearning content on the platform accessibility is key, hence users using eLearning content on this platform will be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We have also made text only versions available for most of the eLearning content to make it easier for the end user with accessibility needs.

How accessible this platform and eLearning content is

While the platform itself is compatible with accessibility, we are aware of some parts of the eLearning content that might not be compatible with accessibility. To accommodate this, we have plain text versions available to download for most of our eLearning content.

Most of our eLearning content hosted on the platform passes through the accessibility tests done by OD digital learning team following the WCAG AA standards.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº has created a Digital Accessibility Policy to help us embed accessible by design approaches to our own development as well as externally procured digital systems and we are actively engaged in processes to assess and prioritise remediation of existing systems.

In addition, accessibility is at the heart of our new Design System that will underpin all future digital system development.
