This online course covers the mostly used regression models. Attendees will learn the theory of each regression model and when and how to perform such models to answer their research questions.

There will be 12 sessions taught via Instats, consisting of 4x 1.5hr lectures; 4x1hr computer practical sessions in Stata; 4x1hr computer practical sessions in R Sessions will be held on Instats platform.

The timings: 19-22/11/2024; lecture (9.00 to 10.45), Practical R (11.00 to 11.50), Practical in Stata (12.00 to 12.50)

The course will cover

• Linear regression
• Logistic regression
• Poisson regression
• Ordinal and multinomial logistic regressions

By the end of the course you will be able to:

• Formulate research questions that deal with different types of outcomes
• Give an understanding of regression models
• Build research capacity in analytical skills to address those research questions
• Gain experience of building models for analyzing different types of outcomes
• Interpret and communicate results
