Slave-owner in Trinidad, apparently resident there. He appeared in the controversy between William Fullarton and Thomas Picton, with the latter's defender Archibald Gloster alleging that John Francis Burke received 5000 dollars on Fullerton's orders with no official capacity.
Given as J.F. Burke in the 1813 Slave Register for La Fortuna and as John F. Burke in the 1834 registration for La Fortuna (which identifies him as the husband of Maria Espritu Santo Burke, to whom the compensation was awarded under Trinidad no. 1331) but as John Francis Burke under Trinidad no.1332.
