Despite the name, apparently male, serving as overseer to the Long family on Lucky Valley until 1773. Florence Donovan of St Ann, planter. Estate probated in Jamaica in 1775. Slave-ownership at probate: 58 of whom 31 were listed as male and 27 as female. 12 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: 拢8069.86 Jamaican currency of which 拢3235 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included 拢0 currency cash, 拢2378.98 currency debts and 拢0 currency plate.
The will of Florence Donovan of Clarendon, Planter was proved in Jamaica 15/09/1774.

Enslaved boy on Unity Valley Pen, Jamaica. Manumitted in 1795 by David Barclay and removed to Philadelphia, with 29 other freed persons from the estate, where he was placed under the care of Society for Improving the Condition of Free Blacks.
