Biography

  1. Will of John Dawson of Kingston Jamaica [made in 1802] proved 23/08/1808. He ordered his house at Kingston and his ten named domestic enslaved people to be sold and the proceeds to enter his estate. He left 拢3000 to his son also John Dawson, Capt. in HM's 62nd Foot now serving in Ireland; and 拢2000 to his daughter Elizabeth Hull, wife of Edward Hull of Donaghadee, Ireland. He left his residuary estate in trust for 20 years, for the trustees to pay each year 3/4 of the income to his daughter Sarah Hull, wife of Lt Col. Trevor Hull of HM's 62nd Foot, and 1/4 to his son John Dawson.
