Biography

Henry Curry was shown as the 'owner' of Curry's Rest on Dominica in 1817: it seems likely that this was the same man as the Henry Curry late of Dominica whose creditors signed a trust deed in 1791 with a final dividend paid in 1811. Henry Curry was present proprietor of St Joseph Lots 77 and 82 in Dominica c. 1773.

  1. The will of Henry Curry of [Bedford Street] St Paul Covent Garden proved 05/01/1822 was possibly this man. There is a link in the will to Dominica in the presence there of one of Henry Curry's nephews and legatees, John Scott Curry. Henry Curry left some 拢2500 in monetary legacies in total, much of it to his second cousin William Hillier of Rochester's family.
