John Lynch of Antigua and Trinidad

Biography

Owner of Skerrett's on Antigua under the will of his father Stephen Lynch (q.v.) proved 02/07/1771. His legatees included his "slave" Sarah and her two sons, presumably natural children of John Lynch, as well as "my mulatto boy" John and the natural daughter of his brother Joseph Walter Lynch.

Codicil dated 14 Aug. 1807 in Trinidad. To my slave Sarah 拢20 yearly, & 拢30 yearly for her 2 boys Patrick & Anthony till 21, then 拢250 each. To my mulatto boy John 拢300. Trinidad: Before Governor Thomas Hislop, Esq., was sworn Peter Nibell of Port of Spain 2 Jan. 1809. Recorded at Antigua 10 Nov. 1809.
