Canal Company (Transport)
David Graeme subscribed 拢1000 to the company. The claim made in genealogical material that he introduced the bill establishing the project in 1768 is not supported by a detailed history of the company.
Thomas J. Dowds, The Forth and Clyde Canal A History p. 106. At pp. 22-23, Dowds shows Lord Mountstuart and Lord Frederick Campbell bringing forward the bill in 1767.
